That's a few words from one of the comments in my high school yearbook, freshman year. I thought with this being graduation time and all, I'd post the comments from the yearbooks that I have from my freshman, junior and senior years. I skipped my sophomore year because I protested the misspelling of my last name on the engraved copy of my freshman yearbook. With all that, here are the comments. I may or may not clarify anything, depending on whether I feel like it or not. And, to the extent that I can, I'll keep things the way they were written.

Jimmy,
Your a very Sweet Guy! Thanks For All Your Help in Earth Science & World Studies! I hope you have a terriffic summer & hope to see you next year! --Love, Shelly
Note: Since I had a huge crush on this last person, I can't remember if it was Allen or Nathan, but one of them underlined the word Love during Earth Science class. Shelly was a petite gorgeous blond who, during my whole freshman year, I could barely say anything coherent around her. I'm surprised I did as well as I did in those two classes with her in them. I think I had a few scattered classes with her in my three remaining years.
I took a flex class (as it was called when you took an afterschool class for credit)--drama (by doing that, I wasn't able to try out for the tennis team, something I discovered when I tried to go to practice after drama class and learned it was already over). That led me to being in the spring play, Taming of the Shrew, directed by Mr. Franklin, my drama teacher. Tina was my first, and only high school kiss, coming during a scene in the play. We didn't get to rehearse the kiss. We only did it live for the two shows we put on. Her boyfriend (not sure, but they were either juniors or seniors, I can't remember for sure), who had lead in the play, was half-joking, I think, when he implied I shouldn't allow anything to get hot and heavy during those scenes. I actually had lines and scenes in the play. I learned how to trip (and I got laughs from the audience for it) for one scene, and had another where I had to deliver lines after running the entire length of the auditorium to reach the stage. ...
I had Spanish class where they allowed 8th graders to be bused to high school before going back to their middle school to start their day there. I also was a freshman that year when my second-oldest sister was a senior. ...
Allen was probably my best friend during 6th through 9th grades. He moved the next year to Hawaii. I hung out with Nathan a lot too. We'd hang out every once in awhile outside of school, but without cars that was hard to do. He had a sister a year younger named Allison. His family was into church and used to play Christian rock in their house--Stryper and Petra are a couple of bands I recall. I remember getting invited once to his church to play basketball on a carpeted gymnasium. Nathan had an aversion to girls during high school. I liked them but got tongue-tied.
Freshman classes (I can't remember the exact order, though I did have Spanish first after homeroom, lunch before 11 a.m. and Drama at the end of the day): Homeroom, Spanish I, World Studies, English, Lunch, Gym/Health (hideous burnt orange shirts and blue shorts with orange trim), Geometry, Earth Science, Drama (Flex class: we dismissed at 2:05, flex class was from 2:15 until 3:30 Monday-Thursday). My lunch that year was the first shift, which began somewhere around 10:30 in the morning and went until about 11. Classes, if I recall correctly, were 50 minutes long.
That concludes freshman year. I'll do a small (I think) sophomore year recap, but like I said, I don't have a yearbook for that one. Stay tuned for the junior year installment, though there are only five comments in that one. Senior year has a few more...I may even add the pictures of me in those high school yearbooks, who knows?
