I was reading in one of my fitness/health books how one can expect to have serious back pain at least 3-4 times in a lifetime, assuming a 90 year span.
Well, I'm in the middle of episode one, and it hurts a mother.
In fact, I won't be sitting here long (at least to type), as that hurts. Every move I make requires careful thought.
By the way, I threw out the back in soccer today, but with a non-contact injury. I messed it up a little bit a couple of weeks back, and thought with rest, Tylenol and some Ben Gay, it'd help enough to let me play. Well, it did, for about five mintues, until I had to make regular soccer movements. Then the pain got a lot worse, and quickly.
I had to shut myself down after I couldn't even bend over. We still won without me. Watching makes you detatched from everything, and I felt that way, even with some of my teammates asking what was wrong. It's not like it's an injury you can see. Frustrating... It took me over half an hour to change out of my cleats into my regular shoes, and almost as long to move my feet so I could drive home.
Walking is actually the easiest to do for me, but I can't do it fast, and I can't bend. I try to, at the knees, but it doesn't help much. You should have seen me try to change from my soccer gear to my PJ's. Pretty.
And I'm still waiting for health insurance, so it's not like I can afford to get it looked at until everything comes through.
Oh, and what may hurt most of all--sneezing.
Yeeeooooowwww!!!
